Pussy Quilt is double-sided and an exploration in:
Reclaiming the word Pussy as a source of feminine power.
Processing the 2016 Presidential election through creative expression.
Recycling/upcycling everyday household items: coffee bags & sharpies.
Journaling the changing dynamic of our political climate over the last four years: the destruction, the desperation, the hope, the depression, the anxiety.
Building a wall to combat Trump's wall of racism.
Real-time swiveling ( my word instead of pivot) with the medium due to lack of access to products during COVID. What started as all Bluebottle coffee bags migrated to unbranded bags out of necessity.
Progression of drawing skills (over 4 years) and sewing skills (over two weeks.)
